BRIDGE

The Pre-bridge class is for skaters who have not yet passed Learn to Skate level 5.  It is a 30 minute class fully supervised by the Coach from entering to leaving the ice. Pre-bridge is to teach basic skills to skaters in a group setting at a pace comfortable for the group.  In addition to skating skills, other items such as safety and ice etiquette will be taught.  Participants must be either a Basic Skills member or Club member.

The Bridge program is for skaters who have passed their Basic Skills 5 or 6 and wish to transition through the USFSA Freeskate badges and into the Club.  The role of the bridge program is to teach skating skills at a faster pace in a group lesson and to introduce the skaters and parents to the benefits of club membership.  Participants must be a club member or a current basic skills member (basic skills members must provide a current USFSA card confirming their membership). The skaters get a 30 minute lesson and 30 minutes to practice.

In addition to skating skills other items of necessity will be introduced such as:  proper stretching techniques, warm up and cool downs, stroking, ice etiquette and most importantly ice safety.
